My little sister came to visit me on the weekend, she asked me to take her around and I decided to take her to old town area. We didn't plan to visit Museum Bank Mandiri but somehow we turned to this big old building, paid Rp. 2000/person and started to explore 1st floor. As we entered the building, we were welcomed by this big 'board' in dutch. We felt like we were flying to the past in an instant!
A bit information about this place:
Museum Bank Mandiri is the first banking museum in Indonesia. This nice building is located at 22,176 square meters area and it was known as Netherlandche Handel Maatschappij NV in the colonial era. Its location is across Kota Train Station and Kota Bus way Station. The museum opens from Tuesday to Sunday, starting at 9 am to 4 pm.

The 1st floor was big. The main operation must be here in the past, a lot of big desks and counter desk were laying along the hall.

The tiles were colorful, we really like it!

We entered one of the director's working room after wandered around. In this medium size room, we found original working case, working table and working chair belongs to the director in colonial era. I asked my sister took a picture of me there and suddenly the entrance door bang and closed just right behind me, and after few minutes it was open slowly, when we were about to get out it was closed again. It was weird because there was no open window or air ventilation that allow that door open or close easily. I was scared and walked out of that room so fast followed by my sister and her friend. Another weird thing, there was a connection tune as I pick up the display phone while I didn't see any connection cable there!
This spooky experience inspired my friends! They want to go to Museum Bank Mandiri and experience 'something' there. Well, I don't mind to get there again...but with a lot of people, hahaha...
