People in Jakarta deal with traffic everyday, it only gets a bit better in the weekend (not in friday night though!). I'm lucky because I don't have to always deal with traffic since I walk to my office. Most of my friends have to wake up so early in the morning to avoid traffic, 5 minutes can make a big difference and you'll stuck for hours in the middle of it in busy hours. The busy hours will start at around 7 AM until 9 AM, and will start again at around 5 PM until 9.30 PM in weekdays. Most of the motorcyclists even make it worse, they ride wildly in the road and so annoying. It seems like they think they are king on the streets, not even care for other street users. Sometimes they ride their motorcycle on the pavements! Can you imagine?
